You can get it on all compatible devices. To get the public beta you don’t need to register into anything unlike developer’s beta where you have to register yourself on the apple platform.
Now, talking about the public beta release date, The iOS 17 public beta is expected to be released in July 2023. While this date is subject to change, it aligns with Apple’s previous releasing patterns of making the public beta available a few months after the developer beta.To join the iOS 17 public beta once it’s released, you can sign up for the Apple Beta Software Program. This program allows users to test pre-release software and provide feedback to Apple. Participating in the public beta gives you the opportunity to explore the new features of iOS 17, provide feedback on any issues or bugs you encounter, and help Apple make the operating system even better before its official launch.
How to sign up for the iOS 17 public beta?
- Open the Safari app on your iPhone.
- Go to the Apple Beta Software Program website.
- Sign up with your Apple ID.
- If you’ve previously signed up, you can sign in and select Get started.
- Agree to the terms and conditions when prompted.
- Tap on the iOS tab and then tap enroll your device.
- Download the beta profile to your device.
How to download and install iOS 17 public beta?
- After signing up for the public beta version you may open the Settings app.
- Go to General > Software Update and you should see the iOS 17 public beta available for download.
- Tap Download and Install.
- Enter your passcode if prompted and agree to the terms and conditions.
- Wait for the download and installation process to complete.
Beta versions are usually buggy and may have unfinished features which can lead to issues on your iPhone device. A piece of advice, if you can wait for the official release then do so and avoid installing the beta version of iOS 17 if you want to keep your iPhone safe from all the bugs and issues.
