The Twitter app doesn’t have tweet scheduling. But there’s still a way to schedule tweets from your smartphone.
One of the most useful features of Twitter is the ability to schedule Tweets for up to 18 months in advance while you focus on other activities. You can schedule individual tweets on your desktop browser.
But what about scheduling on mobile? The official Twitter apps for both iPhone and Android don’t have this feature yet but there’s a workaround you can use without installing extra apps.
How to Schedule Tweets from Your Mobile Browser
Scheduling tweets from your mobile browser is easy. The process is similar on all browsers on both iPhone and Android.
Follow these steps to start scheduling tweets right from your favorite mobile browser:
- Launch your browser go to the Twitter website.
- Log into your Twitter account.
- Tap the Tweet button and type the post you want to schedule.
- Add any necessary attachments or links and then tap the Calendar icon below the Tweet field.
- Select the Date, Time, and Time zone when you want your tweet to be sent out and tap Confirm.
- Tap Schedule and your tweet will be set to post at the scheduled date and time.
You can schedule multiple tweets in one session but you need to be aware that Twitter does include limits to how many tweets you can send out per day.
How to Modify or Delete Scheduled Tweets on Your Mobile Browser
If you want to edit your scheduled tweets on your browser, follow these steps:
- Tap the Tweet button and tap the Calendar icon.
- Go to Scheduled Tweets below the Date, Time, and Time zone fields.
- Tap on the tweet you want to modify, edit it, and tap the Calendar icon to change the posting date or time.
- Tap Update to effect the changes.
- To delete scheduled tweets, go to Scheduled Tweets, tap the Edit button, select the tweet you want to delete, and tap Delete.
The Benefits of Using Your Browser Over Third-Party Schedulers
Third-party scheduling apps are convenient but if you don’t want to share your account info or add another app to your phone, using your mobile browser is the way to go. Besides having to deal with an extra app on your phone, you may have to pay for some of the good schedulers.
Since there are malicious apps out there that may pose as schedulers, using your mobile browser can mitigate this risk. As a precaution, always download all your apps from trusted sources like the App Store and Play Store.
Schedule Your Tweets on the Go
Scheduling tweets frees you up in case you’re unavailable at a particular time. Having the scheduling capability on your mobile browser comes in handy in the event that you need to schedule something while away from your desktop.
The mobile browser should suffice unless you want to schedule threads. Scheduling threads will require a third-party scheduler.
